Recap: Navarro Panthers vs. Sinton Pirates
The Navarro Panthers and the Sinton Pirates squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Navarro Panthers had to settle for second. They were dealt a 50-14 defeat at the hands of the Pirates. Navarro's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Leading Sinton to victory were Jacoby James and Triston Handson. James picked up 184 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Handson threw for 309 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt.
Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Sinton, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1.
Navarro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sinton will face off against Wimberley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wimberley's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
