Baseball Recap: Champion Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Champion's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LaBrae Vikings on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Flashes in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Champion saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Morris, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Champion's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for LaBrae, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Champion will challenge Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for LaBrae, they will square off against Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2, the Rockets 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
