Soccer Game Preview: Science Leadership Academy vs. John Bartram

The Science Leadership Academy Rockets will square off against the John Bartram Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Science Leadership Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight defeats, while John Bartram will come in with three straight victories.

Last Monday, Science Leadership Academy came up short against Northeast and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Science Leadership Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Northeast are ranked 23rd).

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and John Bartram had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on Frankford with a sharp 7-1 win on Tuesday. Considering John Bartram have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Science Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for John Bartram, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
