Volleyball Recap: Space Coast Vipers vs. Edgewood Red Wolves

Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Edgewood Red Wolves, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vipers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Space Coast was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Isabella Taylor paced Space Coast's offense, picking up ten kills. Taylor got some help from Gwenyth Cotham and her 20 assists. Tliah Reddick controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Edgewood found their leader in sophomore Erica Flagg, who had ten digs and two aces.

Space Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Edgewood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Space Coast will challenge Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Edgewood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 21st.
