Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sylvan-Lucas). They blew past the Plainville Cardinals 16-4 on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Sylvan-Lucas and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Plainville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Sylvan-Lucas will take on Ellis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Railroaders have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Plainville, they will challenge Thomas More Prep-Marian on Tuesday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
