Baseball Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 23-2 to the Valley Vikings.

Highlands saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodrigo Pomposo, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Valley, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Coming up, Highlands will be playing at home against Vacaville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Falcons will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Scots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-4 win against Foothill on the 15th.
