Volleyball Game Preview: Carmel Greyhounds vs. Noblesville Millers

The Carmel Greyhounds will take on the Noblesville Millers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Carmel will be strutting in after a victory while Noblesville will be coming in after a loss.

Carmel had lost three straight headed into Thursday's contest, but Griffin Holdcraft didn't let it get to four. The Greyhounds had just enough and edged out Monrovia 3-2 on Thursday with plenty of help from Holdcraft, who had 12 digs and two assists. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times he's played.

Carmel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Noblesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Roncalli.

While Noblesville was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Roncalli's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-12.

Noblesville's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Carmel, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Carmel skirted past Noblesville 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Millers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
