Basketball Recap: Chetopa Comes Up Short

If Chetopa was feeling good fresh off their 46-24 takedown of Southern Coffey County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chetopa Hornets had to suffer through a 78-34 loss at the hands of the Oswego Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-35 back in January.

Chetopa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Oswego, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Chetopa has already played their next game (against St. Paul), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oswego, they will head out on the road to take on Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
