Basketball Recap: Naheim Gastearl's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West St. John over East St. John

West St. John lost against East St. John back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The West St. John Rams fell 52-41 to the East St. John Wildcats.

West St. John's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Naheim Gastearl, who posted 19 points. The match was Gastearl's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahavon Grows, who earned 12 points.

West St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for East St. John, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-15.

West St. John will be playing in front of their home fans against Family Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East St. John has already played their next game (against Covenant Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
