Football Recap: Bainbridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bainbridge lost against Tumwater back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans were outmatched by the Thunderbirds and fell 45-6. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 18th).

Nathaniel Putman threw for 170 yards on 15 of 25 attempts. Heath Voegtlin was his top target, picking up 124 receiving yards.

Peyton Davis was nothing short of spectacular for Tumwater: he rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.

Bainbridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tumwater, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Bainbridge will venture away from home to square off against Bremerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Tumwater, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Eastlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
