Baseball Recap: Frederick Comes Up Short

Frederick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ninnekah Owls.

Dalton Wells was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Tyler, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ninnekah, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Frederick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Temple on the 3rd. Ninnekah has also already played their next game (against Maysville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
