Volleyball Game Preview: Conant Cougars vs. Saint Viator Lions

The Conant Cougars will challenge the Saint Viator Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Conant is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Conant came up short against Palatine and fell 2-0.

Conant was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saint Viator, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against York by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

Saint Viator easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-11.

Saint Viator has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Conant, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Conant couldn't quite get it done against Saint Viator in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
