Football Game Preview: Dripping Springs Tigers vs. Austin Maroons

The Dripping Springs Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Austin Maroons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dripping Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Austin likes a good challenge.

Dripping Springs' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Akins to the tune of 63-0. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Dripping Springs' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Austin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Dripping Springs against Austin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-7 win. In that contest, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 42-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
