Basketball Recap: Quincy Wins Going Away Against Othello

Quincy hadn't done well against Othello recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Quincy Jackrabbits came out on top against the Othello Huskies by a score of 36-24. That 12 point margin sets a new team best for the Jackrabbits this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Quincy and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Othello, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quincy will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Waterville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterville's defense has only allowed 26.5 points per game this season, so Quincy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Othello, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ephrata at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
