Volleyball Recap: Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS Takes a Loss

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Butler Bearcats. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Butler apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Butler, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Estherville Lincoln Central on the 30th. As for North Butler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Eagle Grove on the 30th.
