Softball Recap: Templeton Comes Up Short

Templeton was the 26-0 winner over Orcutt Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Templeton fell 6-2 to Orcutt Academy on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Templeton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Takigawa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Whitney Moore also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Templeton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Orcutt Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Templeton will challenge rival Atascadero at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Orcutt Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Templeton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
