Soccer Game Preview: Waller vs. Cypress Park

The Waller Bulldogs will face off against the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Waller's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 18 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with 17 defeats in a row, Waller turned things around against Cypress Springs on Tuesday. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Park duked it out with Cypress Woods on Tuesday. Cypress Park lost 6-0 to Cypress Woods. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Wildcats are ranked 99th).

Waller's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 3-17. As for Cypress Park, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-12.
