South Effingham waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Brunswick Pirates by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on September 6th.

South Effingham easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.

Clara Vorel paced South Effingham's offense, picking up seven kills. Vorel got some help from Leah Magana and her 16 assists. Vorel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

South Effingham's win bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-11.

Coincidentally, South Effingham and Brunswick will both be playing Savannah Christian the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
