Basketball Recap: Rockbridge County Has No Trouble Against William Monroe

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Turner Ashby, Rockbridge County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the William Monroe Dragons with points to spare, taking the game 37-23. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 41-27 loss the last time these two teams met.

Among those leading the charge was Emma Clark, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals.

Rockbridge County's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-7. As for William Monroe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County has already played their next contest (against Broadway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. William Monroe and Louisa County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
