Broughton won the last time they faced Sanderson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Capitals came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 5-1.

Carson Carroll spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Garrett Waters was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Broughton's record is now 14-10. As for Sanderson, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Broughton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Cardinal Gibbons on the 28th. Sanderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
