Dawson County finds home court redemption against Rabun County

There's no place like home for the Dawson County Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Rabun County by a score of 70-63 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Rabun County still got an impressive performance from Cooper Welch, who scored 25 points along with 3 blocks. The game was Welch's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Huey Blalock, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 assists.

Dawson County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Rabun County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dawson County will face off against West Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Hall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Dawson County is ranked 154th). As for Rabun County, they will head out on the road to face off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three contests.
