Volleyball Recap: Olathe South Takes a Loss

Olathe South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawrence Free State Firebirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Firebirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on September 13th.

Olathe South started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Olathe South lost, don't look at Cam Clutchey. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and three aces. Clutchey has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Olathe South's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Lawrence Free State, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.
