Football Recap: Jefferson Area Takes a Loss

Jefferson Area extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They took a 37-18 bruising from the Harvey Red Raiders. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 50-24 to the Red Raiders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Harvey, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points over those games.

It was another big night for Shahn Alston, who rushed for 54 yards and two scores, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one touchdown. Chris Burt Jr. did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 111 receiving yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson Area will welcome Conneaut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Harvey, they will host Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
