Basketball Recap: Poth Comes Up Short

Poth's tournament run continued when they took on The Woodlands on Friday. The Pirates were outmatched by the Highlanders and fell 75-47.

Rachael Roberts continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for The Woodlands, shooting 65% from the field to rack up 31 points and five steals. Those 31 points gave Roberts a new career-high. Isa Alaniz was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Poth's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for The Woodlands, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Poth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-54 win against London on the 6th. As for The Woodlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-31 loss against Memorial on the 6th.
