Football Recap: Waiakea Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Waiakea was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 36-7 loss at the hands of the Kohala Cowboys. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-7.

Abraham Alvarez Jr threw for 49 yards on two of nine attempts. On the ground, Colton Miyazono rushed for 51 yards on only six carries.

Waiakea's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Kohala, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Waiakea has already played their next contest, a 56-7 defeat against Kealakehe on the 13th. As for Kohala, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 53-0 victory against Pahoa on the 13th.
