Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ivy Schrader and Macey White Lead Eastwood to Victory

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Eastwood walked away with a 3-1 win over Liberty-Benton. That's more bragging rights for Eastwood, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Eastwood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Liberty-Benton scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19.

Leading Eastwood to victory were Macey White and Ivy Schrader. White had 21 digs and four assists, while Schrader had 11 kills and 11 digs. Schrader is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Eastwood back to even at 1-1. As for Liberty-Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Eastwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Whitmer on the 23rd. As for Liberty-Benton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hopewell-Loudon on the 25th.
