Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian lost against Faith Baptist back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Faith Christian fell 58-45 to the Faith Baptist Eagle.

It was another big night for Bailey Burton, who went 12 for 23 on her way to 27 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists for Faith Baptist. The dominant performance gave Burton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Cunningham, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points.

Faith Christian's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Faith Baptist, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Washtenaw Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 24, 2025. Faith Baptist will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against More Academy at 5:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
