Benicia has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Amador Valley has won six straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Benicia Panthers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Amador Valley Dons at 3:30 p.m. Benicia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Benicia's tournament run continued when they took on Turlock on Saturday. Benicia skirted past Turlock 6-5. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Leilani Andrews, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Emma French was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Benicia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Amador Valley earned a 5-1 win over Heritage on Tuesday.

Kaylee Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Amador Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mai Falcone, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The victory got Amador Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Benicia, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Benicia was able to grind out a solid victory over Amador Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 4-0. Does Benicia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Amador Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
