Football Recap: Portageville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Doniphan last Friday, Portageville came back down to earth. The Bulldogs were outmatched by the Caruthersville Tigers and fell 48-14. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Portageville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Caruthersville, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Portageville will face off against New Madrid County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caruthersville, they will take on Ste. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
