Soccer Recap: Tough Loss for Taft

It was a proper cat-fight when Taft took on Cascade on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Taft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Cascade are ranked 19th).

Taft has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 10 of their last 11 games. That's taken a bite out of their 1-11-1 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 2-1-1 Newport (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 72.1% over those games). As for Cascade, they have been performing incredibly well recently, winning 14 of their last 16 matchups, dating back to last year. That's helped them to a 13-1-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Taft nor Cascade have any future games scheduled.
