Football Recap: Wheeling Comes Up Short

Wheeling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 70-19 loss at the hands of the Prospect Knights. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.

Wheeling's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Prospect, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wheeling will challenge rival Elk Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Prospect is set to take on their familiar foe Rolling Meadows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
