Softball Recap: Cardinal Stritch Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ottawa Hills

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal Stritch). They walked away with a 20-15 win over the Ottawa Hills Green Bears on Tuesday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Green Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kenzie Kinnie was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Cadence Zgurich was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Cardinal Stritch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .673. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Cardinal Stritch's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Ottawa Hills, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Ottawa Hills will square off against Swanton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
