Recap: Calvert Cavaliers vs. Northern Patriots
The Calvert Cavaliers lost against the Northern Patriots back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Calvert was beaten by Northern 95-51. Calvert has not had much luck with Northern recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Northern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alec Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. Will Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northern, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Calvert will head out on the road to face off against Huntingtown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northern, they will be playing at home against Lanham Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
