With a playoff win on the line, Bishop Kelly rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Middleton Vikings as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.
Lauren Fettic made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kingsley Shea, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Olivia Watt was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Bishop Kelly lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middleton didn't launched any home runs.
