Softball Recap: Oakdale Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Oakdale barely beat Lacassine the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 18-2 victory on Thursday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Audrey Lacomb was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kylee Hardison also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Oakdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Oakdale has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Lacassine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Oakdale will venture away from home to square off against North DeSoto at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lacassine, they will host Oberlin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
