Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Skates Past Patrick Henry Academy with Ease

Hilton Head Prep won the last time they faced Patrick Henry Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Hilton Head Prep Dolphins took their match with ease, bagging a 72-40 win over the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots. With the Dolphins ahead 35-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Hilton Head Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Harpring, who went 13 of 23 on his way to 35 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Billy Barron was another key player, going 7 for 13 en route to 18 points and six assists.

Harpring wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Hilton Head Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daivon Glover, who posted 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowen Croft, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Hilton Head Prep is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Patrick Henry Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Hilton Head Prep has already played their next match, a 56-48 loss against St. Andrew's on the 18th.
