Northside - Pinetown is 2-8 against Southside since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Northside - Pinetown Panthers will host the Southside Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Northside - Pinetown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
Last Thursday, Northside - Pinetown didn't have too much trouble with Hobgood Charter as they won 65-48. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Raiders are ranked 610th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northside - Pinetown can attribute much of their success to Malachi Moore, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 22 points along with five boards and three steals, and Nick Moore, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points. Nick has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Zanek McCloud, who posted six points and five rebounds.
Northside - Pinetown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 21 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Southside came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Mattamuskeet by a score of 45-37 on Thursday.
Northside - Pinetown better focus on containing Zymere Wiggins and Josh Armstrong as the pair were huge in Southside's win. Wiggins had seven points and 12 rebounds, while Armstrong put up ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'Mire Burgess, who posted six points.
Northside - Pinetown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Southside, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Northside - Pinetown against Southside in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 85-57 win. Will Northside - Pinetown repeat their success, or does Southside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
