Baseball Recap: Winchendon Falls Short Against Ranked Mount St. Charles Academy

Winchendon is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mount St. Charles Academy. The Wapiti lost 7-0 to the Mounties. That makes it the first time this season the Wapiti have let down their home crowd.

Winchendon got a good showing from Jack Cronin, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

This is the second loss in a row for Winchendon and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they moved to 5-5-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Winchendon will head out on the road to challenge St. Mark's at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they will welcome Blackstone-Millville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
