Volleyball Game Preview: Sioux Falls Christian Chargers vs. Lennox Orioles

Sioux Falls Christian is 9-1 against Lennox since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Orioles at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Sioux Falls Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Harrisburg, who was ranked first at the time (Sioux Falls Christian was ranked eighth). The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Tigers on Tuesday. The Chargers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sioux Falls Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Lennox came up short against Baltic on Friday, falling 3-0.

Lennox was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Baltic work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-16, 25-22.

Sioux Falls Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Lennox, their loss dropped their record down to 23-7.

Sioux Falls Christian beat Lennox 2-0 when the teams last played last Saturday. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Orioles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
