Football Recap: Johnson County Central Thunderbirds vs. Johnson-Brock Eagles
After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Johnson County Central finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were beaten by the Johnson-Brock Eagles 54-8. The Thunderbirds lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-14 score last time.
Wes Swanson threw for 57 yards on six of 15 attempts.
Johnson-Brock was led to victory by Hayden Gravatt and Wyatt Fulton. Gravatt gained 123 total yards and three touchdowns, while Fulton threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Fulton is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. As for Johnson-Brock, they are taking a road trip to challenge Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
