Football Recap: Freehold Township Patriots vs. Howell Rebels

Freehold Township extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Howell Rebels. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Johnathan Kokotis threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Schultzel was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Jake Rattiner rushed for 63 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Freehold Township will host Barnegat at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bengals' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Howell, they are taking a road trip to take on Marlboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
