Softball Preview: Derry Trojans vs. Yough Cougars
Derry is 0-7 against Yough since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Derry Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Yough Cougars at 4:30 p.m.
Derry is is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They suffered a tough 14-3 defeat at the hands of Yough.
For Yough's part, Kylee Fisher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Fisher has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings every time she's pitched this season. Fisher was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, a run, and a double.
