Baseball Preview: Ravenwood Raptors vs. Portland Panthers

The Ravenwood Raptors will head out on the road to square off against the Portland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ravenwood, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Ravenwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Nolensville.

Tanner Binns looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Paciorek, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cy Longley, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a triple.

Parker wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Schaefer, who went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Ravenwood's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-10. As for Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Ravenwood took their win against Portland in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 8-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ravenwood since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
