Baseball Game Preview: Twin Rivers Royals vs. East Prairie Eagles

The Twin Rivers Royals will square off against the East Prairie Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Twin Rivers 2.8, East Prairie 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Thursday, Twin Rivers was able to grind out a solid win over Doniphan, taking the game 6-3. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Dons: they've now won three in a row.

Bo Lilly and Bryce Dollins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lilly pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Dollins tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. What's more, Lilly posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At the plate, Lilly went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Dollins went 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Luke Hester was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Liam Galloway was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, East Prairie unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 7-1 to Chaffee.

Twin Rivers' win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for East Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
