Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Medina walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Mentor Cardinals on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Battling Bees: when they faced off against the Cardinals two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

While Medina might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mentor scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

The win made it two in a row for Medina and bumps their season record up to 9-11. As for Mentor, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Coming up, Medina will square off against Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Polar Bears will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Battling Bees surely won't give up without a fight. Mentor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
