Basketball Recap: Windsor Dukes vs. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints

Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-15 defeat at the hands of the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy found their leader in sophomore Madden Gilliatt, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points plus six steals and five rebounds. Gilliatt's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Noah Cannon was another key player, going 7 for 11 en route to 16 points plus two steals.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Windsor will be playing at home against Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy has already played their next contest, an 89-81 defeat against Virginia Episcopal School on the 7th.
