Soccer Recap: Guthrie Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Guthrie kept a clean sheet against Yukon on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Millers. The win was all the more spectacular given Guthrie's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Yukon are ranked eighth).

Adrian Gonzalez and Alejandro Sanchez scored both of Guthrie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

With the victory, Guthrie broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Yukon, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guthrie will welcome Capitol Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yukon, they will host Santa Fe South at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
