Volleyball Recap: North Marion Comes Up Short at Home Against Clay-Battelle

North Marion unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees on Monday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Cee-Bees: they've now lost five in a row.

North Marion was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 25-10.

The victory was the third in a row for Clay-Battelle, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, North Marion will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Buckhannon-Upshur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clay-Battelle, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Doddridge County at 6:00 p.m.
