Baseball Recap: Pickerington Central's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Pickerington Central lost against Teays Valley back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Brady Ventura made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Cameron Green, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.

Pickerington Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Teays Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pickerington Central will challenge Lakota East at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Teays Valley, they will face off against Groveport-Madison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cruisers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
