Brentsville District and Kettle Run are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tigers will face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brentsville District's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Kettle Run's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Brentsville District's win against Warren County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 7-5.

Eight must be Kettle Run's lucky number: they beat Fauquier with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Cougars beat the Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Kettle Run's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Brentsville District, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Brentsville District was able to grind out a solid win over Kettle Run when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
